Faculty of Dentistry; was established to train general practitioners who will work in the public and private fields, and dentists who have received the title of doctor of science/specialist with doctorate/specialist education and who want to become a lecturer by continuing their academic career. To train graduates who follow scientific and technological developments, use scientific evidence for the benefit of their patients and society, and can be effective role models in every field by leading the development of society and the profession.
The objectives of the program are to be able to communicate with patients who apply for all kinds of issues related to oral and dental health and diseases, to perform the examination, clinical and radiological evaluation of the patient, to identify the problem, to plan and apply the treatment of oral and dental diseases, to have information about possible complications and to provide assistance when necessary. To train dentists who know how to take care of the patient, follow the patient, have knowledge about the systemic condition of the patient, know the relationship between the systemic condition and oral health, can refer the patient to the relevant specialists when necessary, and consider ethical values at all these stages. In order to achieve internationally accepted excellence in its activities, it adopts an understanding of working in harmony with its external stakeholders, believing in the superiority of science, student-centered in education, giving importance to the happiness of employees, prioritizing patient satisfaction, within the framework of academic and ethical values.
